Investors Sought for "Home to Harmony" Series

"When Calls the Heart" is a very popular Hallmark frontier Western style drama television series based off of Janette Oke's "Canadian West" series. To date it has aired in both the U.S. and Canada for twelve seasons. Now the creators of the "When Calls the Heart" series want to turn their attention stateside with a television series based off of the "Home to Harmony" series written by Philip Gulley, a Quaker pastor in Indiana, who has become known as the voice of small-town American life as the host of "Porch Talk with Phil Gulley". A show which is aired on PBS in Indiana.

The new "Home to Harmony" series is being developed and produced by Angel Studios along with the "When Calls the Heart" creators, Michael Landon Jr. and Brian Bird. While originally founded by Mormons in Utah, Angels Studios is an American independent media company and film distribution studio that has become known for its Christian-themed films. Specifically, the feature film, "Sound of Freedom" and the popular television series, "The Chosen".

The "Home to Harmony" series is planned by Angel Studios as a faith-based television series following the story of the widowed pastor, Sam Gardner, who returns to his hometown of Harmony, Indiana to pastor his boyhood Church. To his surprise, when Gardner returns to his idyllic small midwestern hometown, he finds that the mayor of the town is secretly trying to turn Harmony, Indiana into the Indiana equivalent of Atlantic City.

To help fund this promising new television series, Angel Studios is raising a minimum of $500,000 via investors.
