Alabama plays St. Mary's today

March 23, 2025 – CLEVELAND, OH. - The University of Alabama men's basketball team defeated number 15 seed Robert Morris 9o to 81 to advance to the field of 32 on Friday. The number two seeded Tide will play St. Mary's college on Sunday.

Senior Guard Mark Sears had 22 points and ten assists in a masterful game that showcased both his abilities as a scorer and as the floor leader of the Tide.

Mohamed Dioubate had 18 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Clifford Omoruyi did not miss a shot scoring 17 points. Senior Center Grant Nelson, who was questionable after suffering an injury against Florida in the SEC Tournament last week, was able to get in the game and scored five points and had three rebounds.

Amerion Dickerson had 25 points, 14 rebounds, and three steals for Robert Morris.

Nate Oats is Alabama's basketball Coach.

"We didn't do a good enough job keeping them off the glass," said Coach Oats. "You look at a kid like (Amarion) Dickerson, he had more offensive rebounds than our entire team combined. I'm a little disappointed in our offensive rebounding, but I'll say this, our guys were resilient. We said coming into this tournament that we're going to welcome some adversity. Hopefully, it's not self-inflicted."

Oats is the only coach in University of Alabama history to lead the Tide to the Final Four. This team hopes to repeat that feat.

The Alabama versus St. Mary's game will at 5:10 p.m. and will be televised on TNT.
