CBN Is Releasing A Documentary On Modern Miracles

February 6, 2025 - When studying The Bible and the life of Jesus Christ, one of the powerfully stirring aspects about Jesus and His ministry is how He healed the blind, the paralytic, the lepers, women's health issues, and even restored life into people who were deceased. With The Bible being so replete with miracles, Christians and even nonChristians who long for a reprieve from conditions that seemingly have no cure in the present era, find themselves longing for such sacred restorative powers to return. However, is the miraculous a thing of the past or still present? Such is one of the questions that CBN investigative journalist, Billy Hallowell, a Rhodes Scholar nominee, tackles in the documentary "Investigating the Supernatural: Miracles".

Acknowledging that science often explains miracles through the laws of nature, in "Investigating the Supernatural: Miracles", there is also some investigation into instances where a doctor's report shows a bad prognosis, yet healing still occurs in defiance of the explanations of modern medicine. Which begs the question, are all of the laws of nature fully understood? Knowing that some Christians will recoil and fear at the prospect of looking for modern day miracles, largely because of concern that if one looks for evidence it might not be found and it might prove a challenge to their faith, journalist Billy Hallowell, nevertheless persists in analyzing reports of modern day miracles through a scientific and rational lens. For often when one is presented with a challenge to one's faith, further questioning and study, will lead one back to one's faith with a deeper understanding than before.

Aware that skeptics will try to explain away any indication of supernatural involvement with references to groupthink, mass hysteria, and the manipulation of people, in the "Investigating the Supernatural: Miracles" documentary, journalist Billy Hallowell presents the first-hand testimony of people who have experienced the supernatural and are not profiting from offering such testimony. With such testimony coming from police officers, medical professionals, and former hospital patients, among others. There is also some concern voiced in the documentary by Christian naturalists who worry that a focus on modern day miracles "is going to thrust us back into the dark ages". But, to learn whether miracles happen in the present day or whether they do not, the best thing to do is to look at the evidence. Which is the focus of journalist Billy Hallowell's investigation, in the CBN documentary "Investigating The Supernatural: Miracles" set to be released on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025.

A documentary featuring research and insights from premiere scientific institutions, academics, and theologians, "Investigating The Supernatural: Miracles" will be released on both DVD and available for streaming from the Christian Broadcasting Network platforms.
