The people's voice of reason
November 12, 2024- Tuscaloosa, AL.- The University of Alabama Crimson Tide went into Baton Rouge Saturday night and defeated the LSU Tigers in dominating fashion with a 42-13 win that saw both sides of the ball perform well.
It has been an inconsistent season for the Tide, but as of late they seem to have found their identity. The team has really committed to running the ball and utilizing the talents of quarterback Jalen Milroe. Saturday, he had game highs in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns with 185 and 4. This was his second game of his career with at least 4 rushing touchdowns. The first came in the 2023 season against the LSU Tigers. The quarterback also went 12/18 with 109 yards through the air. Alabama utilized 8 different ball carriers on the night, keeping the Tigers guessing on defense. Jam Miller lead the team in receiving with 50 yards on 5 receptions.
At the half Alabama lead 21-6 and never looked back. The defense held the Tigers out of the end zone until garbage time late in the fourth quarter when Kyren Lacy found the end zone on a 12-yard reception from LSU quarterback Garret Nussmeier. The Tide defense has allowed only one touchdown in the past eight quarters. The defense was able to make defensive coordinator Kane Wommack happy by turning LSU over with two interceptions and a fumble recovery. They held the Tigers to 104 yards rushing, while the Tide offense produced 311 yards on the ground.
There was, however, some concerning news for Tide fans. Linebacker Que Robinson sustained a season-ending upper body injury. The linebacker corps is an area of depth compared to other units, but a player of Robinson's talent will be missed. The Tide's next action will come on November 16th when they square off against Mercer in Tuscaloosa before getting back into
conference play against the Oklahoma Sooners.
