November 8, 2024 - MONTGOMERY – Auburn returned to its losing ways on Saturday when Vanderbilt came to the plains and completely shut out the Tigers in the second half. Alabama had a bye week as they prepared for week 11's matchup with LSU. It as Texas A&M that shocked the Alabama Gazette panel when they were dominated by Texas A&M shaking up what most of us thought about the SEC.
The SEC games of the week were:
Ole Miss at Arkansas – Ole Miss won 63 to 31.
Vanderbilt at Auburn – Vanderbilt won 18 to 7.
Georgia and Florida at Jacksonville – Georgia won 34 to 20.
Maine at Oklahoma – Oklahoma dominated 14 to 59.
Massachusetts at Mississippi State – Mississippi State had their way with the visitors from New England 20 to 45.
Texas A&M at South Carolina - South Carolina impressed the home crowd 20 to 44.
Kentucky at Tennessee – Tennessee picked up the win 18 to 28.
The Alabama Gazette panel are: Brandon Moseley, Luisa Reyes, Christopher Peeks, Perry O. Hooper Jr., Sam Adams, and Harry Still III.
Brandon correctly picked Ole Miss over Arkansas, Vanderbilt over Auburn, Georgia over Florida, Oklahoma over Maine, Mississippi State over Massachusetts, and Tennessee of Kentucky. Brandon wrongly picked Texas A&M to beat South Carolina, Brandon was 6 and 1 for the week. Brandon is 75 and 20 on the season.
Perry correctly picked Ole Miss, Georgia, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, and Tennessee. Perry was wrong about Auburn and Texas A&M. Perry was 5 and 2 on the week. Perry is 70 and 25 on the season.
Christopher correctly picked Ole Miss, Georgia, Oklahoma. Mississippi State, and Tennessee. Christopher was wrong on Auburn and Texas A&M. Christopher went 5 and 2 on the week. Christopher is 75 and 20 on the season
Luisa correctly picked picking Ole 95Miss, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma. Luisa correctly picked that the Texas A&M and South Carolina game would be close; but she picked the wrong side. Luisa was 6 and 1 on the week. Luisa is 74 and 21 on the season.
