The people's voice of reason

The Pardon Ain't The Problem

December 4, 2024–I wasn’t surprised, nor am I particularly upset, that old Joe pardoned his son Hunter on December 1st.

To those who claimed to be surprised—really? You actually believed the Dementoid and his DEI spox when they said he wouldn’t pardon him? Come on, man! This is Joe Biden we’re talking about! He’s been lying like a lazy dog in the hot sun his entire political career. His “whoppers” and “misspeaks” are legendary. There are even rumors floating around that he’s been talking about this pardon—and lying about it—for six months now.

As for poor, easily confused KJP? I almost pity her. Her job has been to be the mouthpiece of this administration and parrot their lies with a straight face. I don’t know how she’s done as well as she has, all things considered. No, she doesn’t have any credibility left, but did she have any before this pardon dropped? No, she didn’t. Bless her heart, she won’t even be able to get a reliable gig as a talking head after January. All the liberal legacy media are laying people off, and she’s just not sharp enough to compete for any of the spots they’ll have left. I’m sure she’ll find something—Lefties always take care of their own (until they don’t)—but she’ll be far, far out of the public eye for a long while.

If you haven’t read the pardon document and statement, it’s worth a few minutes to do so. Don’t depend on what people SAY is in it, see what it actually says. I’ve linked it below, so no excuses.

Let’s ignore the bit about Hunter being “selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted,” it being a political attack on Joe and his Presidency, and an attempt to wreck Hunter’s sobriety. Hunter obviously hasn’t needed any help jumping off the wagon, and you really can’t call it political when you’re busting him for tax fraud, gun charges and trying to track down the “10% for the Big Guy.”

What’s important is that it’s a) blanket pardon for all offenses he committed between b) January 1, 2014 and December 1, 2024. It’s the most sweeping pardon in Presidential history, not to mention the first time a President has pardoned his own son.

A President pardoning his son? That, I can deal with. Family is important, even if this particular pardon covers some very sketchy things—140 business crimes, 191 sex crimes, 128 drug crimes. No, I didn’t count them, but these are the numbers that are being bandied about the internet, and probably include the ones Hunter documented himself on his laptop. I’ve linked to Marco Polo’s “Report on the Biden Laptop” as well as their Substack below—feel free to read all 644 pages of the Report and count for yourself.

Here are the questions we need to be asking, and my best guess as to their answers:

Exactly what crimes, both known, suspected and unknown, has old Joe now given Hunter a pass on?

—the tax & gun crimes, obviously. The sex & drug crimes, ditto. What about the Ukraine, China, Moldova and God only knows where else bribery and influence peddling?

Why those particular dates?

—The end date is easy. Not even a Democrat has the gall to issue an antegrade pardon. As to the start date, that seems to be about the time that the Ukraine grift really kicked off, right after that nation’s CIA-managed color revolution. Mike Benz just went on Joe Rogan to talk about this, and there’s an excellent 15 minute clip covering it linked below. Very short version: it’s all about private stakeholders including BlackRock, Soros and others participating in a State Dept/CIA/Pentagon operation to control Ukraine’s resources,, cut Putin out the European LNG market and run “foreign policy for personal profit operation.”

Yes, it’s that deep and nasty, and there are at least 5 other prominent US political names associated with it that I can think of right off the top of my head. All I’m going to say now is that FBI Director Kash Patel is going to have his hands full trying to unravel that tangled mess.

Why on December 1st? Why not wait until January 19th and have the White House AutoPen put Joe’s squiggle on a whole stack at once?

—several reasons for this, I think. Joe may not be capable of staggering out of the White House by mid-January. He looked BAD in Angola this week. I rather doubt Kamala is feeling charitable to any Biden right now, and Hunter, as the bag man for the Biden crime family, knows all the good dirt. There are also rumors from credible people that Hunter was discussing writing a tell-all book at the Thanksgiving table, and he did have a sentencing coming up in a few days. He might have mentioned that he’d have a LOT of time to think and write if he actually went to jail, so….

Suddenly, all Joe’s promises to “respect the judicial system” didn’t seem so important, apparently.

Will there be more family pardons coming?

—I think there will be, and I’m not the only one. Jim Biden, possibly. Dr. Jill, almost certainly. In the wee hours Wednesday, there weren’t Polymarket bets up for either of them, but they should appear soon. Here’s the big one: Will Joe pardon himself?

Under Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 of the Constitution, “The President… shall have power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, excepting Cases of Impeachment.“ So, the answer is…maybe. If Joe tries, it’ll be an automatic constitutional crisis that ultimately the SCOTUS would have to rule on, assuming anybody cares. I can see both pros and cons of challenging a Biden Presidential self-pardon. It would settle the argument, but in Joe’s case it’s probably moot. As Special Prosecutor Robert Hur said, Joe is a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” Any testimony he might give would be suspect, and it’d take about two seconds for him to be ruled incompetent to stand trial. About the best we could hope for would be to ruin his retirement by having him placed in a secure medical facility until he dies, but do we really want to go there? I doubt most Americans would want to see that, no matter how much he deserves it, or worse.

What I really want to see, now that Hunter has NO reason to invoke the 5th Amendment—how can he incriminate himself? He’s already got the pardon!—is Hunter brought in and compelled to spill his guts under oath about all he knows about everything. He’s the one who went out, shook the hands, managed the deals and arranged access to “The Big Guy.” Who else was involved, both in the foreign countries and here in the US (ESPECIALLY in the US!)? Who bought his “art?” Who, besides him and his lady friends, had access to those classified documents in the garage? What other family members of prominent politicians were involved with his deals? What could he tell us about Sam Bankman-Fried, FTX and US aid to Ukraine flowing back into both Democrat and Republican PACs?

Oh, and if Hunter lies under oath, or refuses to testify in the future? Those aren’t covered by your pardon, Little Guy. Now, let’s start with Burisma….

I’m glad that no one has screeched to “remove” or “revoke” the Presidential Pardon. Its two constitutional limitations aside, the Pardon is absolute and irrevocable. It must be, as it’s the ultimate, final check against gross miscarriages of justice. That it’s sometimes misused, well, them’ze the breaks. That it was used in this case by one old sleazebag to pardon his sleazebag son is on them, not the pardon.

Presidents have pardoned sleazebags before, and they will again. It’s a fantastic power, and shouldn’t be used lightly, but it is. Deal with it.

What Joe Biden has done, other than giving his son a nearly-11 year Get Out Of Jail Free card, is stuffed a sock in every Democrat mouth about President Trump’s legal problems and pardons for the next FOREVER!

Can Trump pardon a family member? Biden did! Use a blanket pardon running over a decade to hide corruption, bribery, influence peddling and malfeasance? Biden did! Trump’s a “convicted felon” blah blah…just shut up. Old Joe basically admitted that everything Republicans said about the Biden crime family were true, and then some. Shut up!

So, yeah; I’m not particularly upset about Hunter’s pardon. Watching the Democrats choke out non-answers about it has been hilarious!

Watching Hunter Biden get questioned until he’s wrung out like an old dish rag?

That’ll be PRICELESS!
