An Election To Remember-Live Writing The Election

November 6, 2024–It's 12:37 AM on election night, and Pennsylvania has just been called for President Trump. We're waiting for him to speak, and I'm flipping through channels watching what the different networks are saying about the election.

MSNBC is still trying to hold out hope for a Harris victory, and it could still break that way, but...they also have a graphic up on their secondary YouTube channel showing President Trump winning the popular vote 65 million to 60 million.

There aren't any happy faces on CBS, NBC, ABC or CNN. Earlier this evening I was watching Fox, who didn't just have Deep Stater Carl Rove as a commentator (thus proving Fox is no longer our friend), but also doing everything they could to spin Kamala's early numbers up and Trump's early numbers down. Arizona 2020, anyone?

On America's Voice-War Room's special coverage with Steve Bannon, John Solomon and friends, they're doing everything but setting off fireworks and popping champagne.

12:49–Wisconsin has just been called for Trump, and Fox is now calling the race for President Trump. ABC has the electoral college count at Trump 246/Harris 194. CBS New York is focused on the 30 "too close to call" seats in the House and praying for a "triple flip" where the Dems take control of the House and Republicans take both White House and Senate.

12:56–ABC is already starting the post mortem on the race, talking about how the Republicans embraced early voting and put the Democrats on the defensive. This is a moment of truth for Democrats "who focused on the urban areas to their detriment" and ignored the "are you better off today than you were four years ago" question.

Gee, guys; maybe the crushing inflation Bidenomics gave us had something to do with the numbers? Nope, not a word about that.

CNN is talking about combatting election disinformation and how Trump's claims of fraud and cheating are soooo exaggerated. Of course, it's also Elon Musk's fault, too, because his social media platform won't censor these exaggerations.

Jealous, much? Just because CNN's numbers are cratering while the number of people who get their news on X is growing steadily...

1:06–Back on War Room they're talking about Maricopa County, AZ stopping counting (I think I saw earlier that a judge had told them they had to keep counting) then talking about Pennsylvania counties flipping from blue to red.

MSNBC now has the popular vote Trump 61.2%, Harris 47.2%, Electoral College 266 Trump, 194 Harris. Yes, Trump is up 5 million over Kamala in the popular vote!!!

1:13–War Room is talking with a Wisconsin reporter about how the economy is their #1 issue, urban voters didn't show up for Kamala and rural Trump voters did show up.

1:16–BBC is showing a shot of Vivek while we're still waiting on President Trump to speak. They're showing the Electoral College 265/194 in Trump's favor. Typo?

I'm thinking Trump's going to wait until another state is called, or close to it, to put him over 270 before he comes out. Unfortunately, most of the ones left are those who've already said it'll be days before we know. Grrrr...

1:20–One America News is talking about how Trump reached out to the young people on social media and podcasts like Joe Rogan, and OAN is giving Barron props for telling his dad he needed to do this (and Barron was right!). They've also ripped Kamala's handlers for refusing to let her go on Rogan, but honestly? I wouldn't have let her go on Rogan, either. She'd have lost another million votes when she crashed and burned sometime in the first 15 minutes of the three hour show. Kamala on Rogan would have completely destroyed her campaign.

OAN has just announced that Trump is backstage at the Palm Beach Convention Center, and we're still waiting.

1:26–Trump's on stage now. "God Bless The USA" is playing. The stage is full, and Barron is TALL!

1:28–President-elect Trump: "This is a movement like nobody's ever seen before. Frankly, this is the greatest political movement of all time."

"We're going to help our country heal. We have a country that needs help badly, and we're going to fix our borders, we're going to fix our country."

"Every single day I will be fighting for you."

"This will truly be the Golden Age of America."

"We have also won the popular vote, which was great."

"We're going to make you very proud of your vote."

"America has given us a powerful and unprecedented mandate."

Trump just asked JD Vance to say a few words: "We just witnessed the greatest political comeback in the history of America. We're going to lead the greatest economic comeback in American history under Donald Trump's leadership."

Trump back at the mic: "We have a new star, a star is born-Elon." Talking about watching the rocket coming down and being captured, talking with Elon about it.

Now he's talking about speaking with Elon about getting Starlink for the victims of Helene in North Carolina.

Trump calling Dana White of the UFC to speak "This is Karma, ladies and gentleman." White thanking several people including Theo Von and Joe Rogan.

Trump thanking everyone for showing up in record numbers. "This will forever be remembered as the day the American People regained control of their country." Thanks RFK Jr, "he's going to make America healthy again." Then, "Bobby, leave the oil to me."

"We've built the biggest, the broadest coalition, nobody's ever seen anything like it." People united "around a common core of common sense."

"This is also a massive victory for democracy and freedom."

"We're going to make our country better than it has ever been."

"Promises made, promises kept. We're going to keep our promises."

"Success will bring us together, and we are going to start by putting America first."

"America's future will be bigger, better, brighter, richer, safer, stronger."

1:54–speech wrapped, the President-elect shaking hands on stage to the Village People's "YMCA." Commentator remarking that the President's playlist is "interesting."

From one commentator on War Room: "I think I finally understand the politics of joy. We can move on unburdened by what has been." Yeah, just a bit of sarcastic schadenfreude there. I'm snickering. Soooo going to use that line on the next Lefty who annoys me.

And CNN immediately cut to commercial, while NBC is talking about how the DoJ moved too slowly with the legal proceedings against Trump, and that may have been a decision they regret.

ABC has just said that the Harris campaign is "notably dark"-they haven't heard anything from them recently, and how Harris's rhetoric about "turning the page on Donald Trump" became the country "turning the page on Kamala Harris."

Nothing about any results on her campaign web page or X feed. Nothing on her personal X feed for 9 hours now. Not even her early wins. Curiouser and curiouser.

At 2:04 AM, we have a presumptive President-elect (and Veep-elect; no disrespect, JD) with no concession from Kamala Harris-but she is supposed to give a speech tomorrow.

It's time for the real business of putting out the Biden/Harris dumpster fires at home and abroad, preparing to fight off the Democrat's next challenges under the 14th and 25th Amendments, and their resumption of their 24/7 "Resist Resist Resist" antics to begin. It's going to be 2016 all over again.

The mainstream media outlets are already working the post mortems on the Harris campaign. It's a bit early for them to talk about how the Democratic Party record and positions contributed to their loss, but given how far in the tank they were for Kamala, it won't be very tough, deep or beneficial for the Dems going forward. There are already hints that Kamala (and Low-T Timmie) are about to be thrown under the bus in a major way-it'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

I'm sure the Left won't accept this election gracefully. All their protests about "saving our democracy" won't matter to them when it comes to acknowledging the result of this election. I'm going to have sooooo much fun laughing in their faces when they start saying this election was stolen-and you know they will, before too long.

It looks like the Republicans will have a 1 seat majority in the Senate, but the House is still up in the air. Given how spineless, corrupt or compromised so many "Republicans" are (and how the Democrats tend to vote in unison like the hive-mind drones they are), President Trump will have to fight for every single thing in Congress. We can help with that, and we will, but we can't expect him to magically fix the country overnight.

This election was the most important in my lifetime, and we didn't lose it.

Now the work of winning begins.
