While many people are struggling to keep their heads up at work today after staying up late in the evening watching the election returns, due to the demand for tickets, it is not too early to start looking into requesting tickets to attend the second inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of The United States. The swearing-in ceremony will take place on Monday, January 20th, 2025 on the West Front of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. at twelve PM Eastern time. The swearing-in ceremony on January 20th, 2025, will mark the 60th presidential inauguration in the history of the USA.
Since George Washington was sworn in as President in 1789, every President of The United States has delivered an inaugural address ranging from 8,445 words to a mere 135 words. And the swearing in ceremony on January 20th, 2024, will likely feature Donald J. Trump delivering his second inaugural address, as well.
There is also a Presidential Inaugural Parade on the day of the Presidential Inauguration. And there are no tickets required to view the parade since the parade route goes through areas in D.C. that are accessible to the public. But, to get a good viewing spot of the parade it is recommended to reach a desirable location with a good view, early.
If any groups wish to participate in the 60th Presidential Inaugural Parade, the Joint Task Force-National Capital Region 60th Presidential Inaugural Parade is accepting applications from groups interested in marching in the parade through December 04th, 2024. Those applications can be filled out on their website at 2025 Presidential Inaugural Parade.
The day of the Presidential Inauguration concludes with the Presidential Inaugural Ball. Typically, the President only appears for the sanctioned balls and the tickets for the sanctioned balls tend to be rather pricey. With some tickets for the sanctioned balls being listed today in the amount of $7,500.00USD each. However, several groups also hold their own balls for the Presidential Inauguration and the attire for the Presidential Inaugural Balls is formal.
A pre-inaugural Presidential concert is held the day prior to the Presidential Inauguration that the public is invited to attend with tickets from their respective elected officials. And while the line up for the concert hasn't been announced, as of yet. Popular music stars like Lee Greenwood have participated in it in the past.
Typically, one has to pick up their ticket for the Presidential Inauguration from their respective congressman's office or senator's office in-person in Washington D.C. a day or two before the inauguration. The lines for those tickets, even though they are already reserved, tend to be long. And while people dress in professional attire to pick up their tickets, comfortable shoes are recommended for people to wear when going to pick up their inauguration tickets. As there will be a lot of walking and standing involved in the process of picking them up.
For Alabamians wishing to attend the Presidential Inauguration, they can contact their local U.S. Congressman's office and request tickets.
