While Alabama football is certainly a fan favorite, not far behind is the Alabama women's gymnastics team. A team that is one of only eight teams in the country to win a national title. With the Alabama gymnastics team having six NCAA National Championships to their credit. In fact, members of the Alabama gymnastics team even compete in the Olympics as in last year's Luisa Blanco.
Members of the forthcoming 2025 Alabama gymnastics team come from all over the country. With the tallest team member being Brooke Dennis at five feet seven inches tall. And the shortest team member being Jamison Sears at four feet eleven inches in height. The Alabama gymnastics team is coached by Ashley Johnston who is a ten time All-American and member of the National Championship winning teams in 2011 and 2012.
While the Alabama gymnastics team does not have their first official meet of the season until January 10th when they play against North Carolina. On Friday, December 06th, 2024, the Alabama gymnastics team is hosting a Preview Night featuring the Crimson and White teams at 7PM in Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Many prominent locals often attend the gymnastics meets. And for the preview night attendees are encouraged to wear their Christmas pajamas and bring their holiday spirit.
Luisa Reyes is an attorney in Tuscaloosa with a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Judson, a master's degree in library science, and a law degree from Samford's Cumberland School of Law. She is also a piano instructor and vocalist.
