December 9, 2024 - MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - Known as the largest and oldest High-IQ society in the world, MENSA International is a non-profit organization for those who have an Intelligence Quotient score in the upper 2% of the general population. MENSA was initially founded by an Australian and a British scientist/lawyer at Lincoln College, in Oxford, England in 1946. The largest national groups are the American MENSA with more than 50,000 members. Followed by the British MENSA with 18,000 members in the United Kingdom and Ireland. With the third largest national group being MENSA Germany with about 16,000 members.
In Alabama, one of the most active and sizable chapters of MENSA is the Central Alabama MENSA. And this Saturday, December 14th, 2024, they are offering the opportunity for those who wish to test their intellectual mettle to take the MENSA admissions test. The IQ test will begin at 10:15AM at the O'Neal Library in Mountain Brook, Alabama. With registration for the test beginning at 10:00AM.
The two tests being offered on Saturday will be the Standard Wonderlic and the RAIT tests. And the tests will be proctored by Dr. Matthew West. Registration for the tests is $60 USD for the local group testing option. On Saturday, test takers are requested to bring their invoice and a picture ID. Additionally, Dr. West is asking for people to please RSVP with him at mwestsoc@gmail.com so he knows how many tests to bring to the session.
