A Christian pop duo featuring two Australian born brothers, Joel and Luke Smallbone, "For King and Country" is taking their annual Christmas concert known as "A Drummer boy Christmas" to the movie theaters this season. Entitled "For King and Country A Drummer Boy Christmas Live" the cinematic version of their Christmas concert is being released in 1,000 select movie theaters across the country this Thursday, December 05th, 2024. As the Smallbones explain it in For King and Country A Drummer Boy Christmas Live" it is "remarkable" that The Baby Jesus who was born in a manger with no prestige, no privilege of social media, and no political campaigns turned the world on its head and is the most powerful and most recognized name in the word. For "He turned B.C. into AD". He gave us a "fresh start" and "freedom" by reconnecting us to Heaven.
The pop duo, "For King and Country" derives its name from the battle cry of English soldiers who were willing to risk their lives for their king and their country. With the Smallbones explaining that that has become their mission, to lay down their live for "our King and our country". With The King that they are referring to being Jesus.
The cinematic experience of "For King and Country A Drummer Boy Christmas Live" will only be showing in movie theaters from Thursday through Monday. So, for Alabama and Auburn fans who don't have to watch any SEC Championship games this weekend, this is the weekend to go see the video concert featuring the musical mastery, storytelling, and production of "For King and Country". The running time for the cinematic experience is an hour and forty minutes.
