Alabama Gazette picks SEC games in week 8

October 18, 2024 – the Alabama Gazette panel has released their picks for Southeastern Conference week 8. Both Alabama and Auburn are on the road this week. Auburn goes to Missouri; while Alabama visits Tennessee. Alabama is fighting to stay in position to stay relevant in the SEC hunt. Auburn is just trying to win its first SEC game. The big game of the week for the SEC and the nation is Georgia at #1 Texas

South Carolina at Oklahoma

Texas A&M at Mississippi State

LSU at Arkansas

Ball State at Vanderbilt

Georgia at Texas

Kentucky at Florida

The Alabama Gazette panel includes: Brandon Moseley, Perry O. Hooper Jr, Sam Adams, Luisa Reyes, Christopher Peeks, and Harry Still III

Brandon is picking Missouri to beat Auburn, Alabama to beat Tennessee, South Carolina over Oklahoma, Texas A&M over Mississippi State, LSU over Arkansas, Vanderbilt to beat Ball State, Texas to beat Georgia, and Kentucky over Florida.

Perry is picking Auburn, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas A&M, LSU, Vanderbilt, Texas, and Kentucky.

Christopher is picking Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Georgia, and Kentucky.

Sam is picking Missouri, Alabama, Oklahoman, Texas A&M, LSU, Vanderbilt, Texas, and Kentucky.

Luisa is picking:

Missouri over Auburn.

"Alabama, although it will probably come down to the fourth quarter."

"Oklahoma, I think."

Texas A&M over Mississippi State

LSU over Arkansas.

"Vanderbilt, hopefully their quarterback isn't injured too badly."

"Texas, I think. But it could easily be Georgia."

"Kentucky, maybe?"
