Kamala Harris "Dukakis In The Tank" Moments.

It seems that humans have an inherent tendency to strive to portray themselves as something other than who they truly are. Whether it's Individuals from humble backgrounds pretending to be royalty or politicians attempting to connect with the public, there exists a strong desire within us to belong. However, on occasion, these efforts can result in comical mishaps that SNL affectionately showcases.

Imagine John Kerry coming out of the woods with a shotgun to bond with hunters, only to see someone else carrying his "kill". Epic fair. Remember Hillary Clinton attempting to be trendy by spending time with Jay-Z and Beyoncé – unfortunately, it didn’t quite succeed. And of course, there’s the unforgettable “Dukakis in a tank” incident from 1988. Michael Dukakis believed that riding in a tank would portray him as tough, but instead, it turned him into a figure of ridicule.

Just when I thought no other Democrat could seem more insincere, Kamala Harris steps in and says: Hold My Beer. Now she’s portraying herself as Annie Oakley, armed with a Glock If only someone had asked the follow-up questions: What model? What version? The vice president could have had another memorable moment, akin to when Lloyd Benson famously told Dan Quayle, “You’re no Jack Kennedy.” But having a Miller High Life with Stephen Colbert? Who is she trying to connect with? And really, who even drinks High Life?

Perhaps in the future, Democrats will grasp the concept of being true to themselves. Simply be authentic. Following the age-old advice, stick to what you are familiar with. If not, you might a Kamala Harris moment.
