Tuberville suggests that we try deporting illegals instead of spending money on housing them

October 14, 2024 – New York City, New York – the New York Post has recently reported that New York City is trying to contract with 14,000 hotel rooms to house some of the millions of migrants that the Biden-Harris administration has settled in this country since coming to power. The New York Post reports that the city – long known for its high rents and housing costs – is seeking 14,000 hotel rooms to shelter migrants through the end of 2025. U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama), who has been a critic of the Biden-Harris administration's border policies, shared a link to the New York Post story on his social media account.

Tuberville suggested on X that instead of spending money providing housing for migrants that we should use some of those resources to send them back to where they came.

The New York Post reports that the cost of housing migrants in New York City is set to cost in excess of $2.3.

"How about instead of finding resources to house illegals we support resources to deport them?" Tuberville wrote.

The New York Post article by Carl Campanile was published on October 9.

The article explains how New York City is using the hotels as emergency shelters to house migrants and that that program will continue for the foreseeable future, The Department of Homeless Services is seeking a contract with hotels to provide the 14,000 rooms through next year.

The city has been doing this for the past two years to deal with their share of the flood of immigrants that the Biden-Harris administration has dumped on the nation in an effort to produce an electorate that is more friendly to Democratic Party rule as migrants and first generation Americans are much more likely to vote Democrat than persons whose grandparents were born in America.

The flood of humanity and its effects on federal, state, and local budgets has become a major election issue in the 2024 campaign.

Tuberville has been a vocal supporter of former President Donald J. Trump (R) who had much more manageable levels of immigration during his previous term. Much of Trump's border policies were reversed by President Joseph R. Biden (D) shortly after his 2021 inauguration.

Tommy Tuberville was elected to the Senate in 2020 – defeating Democratic incumbent Doug Jones despite being dramatically outspent.
