The people's voice of reason
Auburn stepped up in competition to open SEC play versus Arkansas and the wheels came off. This shocked most of the Alabama Gazette panel – who outside of the Tigers' lackluster performance had a good week picking Southeastern Conference football games in week four.
The SEC games of the week were:
Florida won at Mississippi State 45 to 28
Ohio lost at Kentucky 6 to 41
Arkansas won at Auburn 24 to 14
UCLA lost at LSU 17 to 34
Vanderbilt lost at Missouri 27 to 30
Akron lost at Sout Carolina 7 to 50
Bowling Green lost at Texas A&M 20 to 26
Tennessee won at Oklahoma 25 to 15
Georgia Southern lost at Ole Miss 13 to 52
ULM lost at Texas 51 to 3
The Alabama Gazette panel includes: Brandon Moseley, Perry O Hooper Jr, Luisa Reyes, Christopher Peeks, Sam Adams, and Harry Still III.
Brandon correctly picked Florida over Mississippi State, Kentucky over Ohio, LSU over UCLA, Missouri over Vanderbilt, South Carolina over Akron, Texas A&M over Bowling Green, Tennessee over Oklahoma, Ole Miss over Georgia Southern, and Texas over ULM. Brandon wrongly predicted Auburn to beat Arkansas. Brandon was 10 and 1 for the week and is 48 and 7 for the season.
Perry picked Florida, Kentucky, Auburn, LSU, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Texas. Perry missed on the Auburn game. Perry was 10 and 1 for the week and 45 and 10 for the season.
Luisa picked Florida, Kentucky, Auburn, LSU, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas A & M, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Texas. Luisa also missed the Auburn game so finished 10 and 1 for the week and 45 and 10 for the season.
Christopher picked Florida, Kentucky, Arkansas, UCLA, South Carolina, Missouri, Texas, A&M, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas. Christopher was the lone panelist to correctly predict that Arkansas would beat Auburn; but he missed by picking UCLA over LSU so finished 10 and 1 for the week so is 48 and 7 on the season.
Sam picked Mississippi State, Kentucky, Auburn, LSU, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Texas. He missed on Florida versus Mississippi State, Arkansas versus Auburn, and Tennessee versus Oklahoma. He finished 8 and 3 on the week and is 26 and 8 overall.
Harry Still picked Florida, Kentucky, Auburn, LSU, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Texas. He missed on the Arkansas v. Auburn and Tennessee v. Oklahoma games to finish 9 and 2 for the week. Harry is 33 and 6 for the season
