Trump has "Zero trepidation" about this election

The Presidential election is just 32 days away and the polls show that the race between former President Donald J. Trump (R) and Vice President Kamala D. Harris (D) could not be any closer. The election will be decided based on the electoral college and there are only seven states that are likely to decide the race: Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Wisconsin, and Michigan. According to the Real Clear Politics rolling average of the polls in those swing states: Trump is virtually tied with Harris at 48.4% to 48.2%. Despite this a person who spoke with Trump when he was in Tuscaloosa on Saturday said the Trump has "zero trepidation" about the coming election.

Ric and Chloe Mayers are the owners of the luxury box at Bryant Denny Stadium that hosted President Trump and his friends.

The Alabama Gazette asked Ric if Trump expressed any trepidation about the coming election – his third as the Republican nominee for President of the United States.

"He had no trepidation at all," Ric Mayers answered. "He is extremely confident that he will be elected to his second term."

Ric said that "the polls are not a true reflection" of the election.

Chloe Mayers described Trump as being "Very charismatic."

"Trump brought an energy to campus that was lasting, patriotic, and rejuvenating," Chloe said. "He surrounds himself with very down-to-earth high-profile people. We were happy to have been a part of the group."

Trump was accompanied by U.S. Senators Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama) and Katie Britt (R-Alabama), country music legend Hank Williams Jr., rock and roll singer Kid Rock, golf legend John Daley, and retired NFL and Georgia running back Hershel Walker.

Ric said that Trump was very complimentary of Sens. Tuberville and Britt.

"Trump said that they were the most powerful duo of Senators from any state," Ric told the Gazette.

Trump even recorded a video for the Mayers.

"He recorded a nice vide for my nieces in which he told them to work hard in school and obey their parents," Chloe said.

Ric said that he spoke with Hank Williams about the loss of his daughter.

"I call him Bocephus," Ric said. "He said that he had not been called that in a while."

Chloe said that Walker expressed an, "Interest in going back to the political realm."

Walker's challenge of Sen. Raphael Warnock in 2022 was unsuccessful.

"Kid Rock was very down to earth," Chloe said.

Chloe said that the whole stadium both Alabama and Georgia fans were united in their enthusiasm for President Trump.

The crowd chanted "USA, USA, USA" when President Trump was recognized.

Former State Representative Perry O. Hooper Jr. was the 2016 Trump Victory Chair.

"Ric and Chloe are a great American Family," said Hooper. "They are Pro- Business, Pro-Family, Pro-America First and Pr-Trump. I am so thankful that they hosted the greatest and most effective President in US History, President Trump, Heisman Winner, Hershel. Walker, Country Music Artists, Kidd Rock, Hank Williams Jr and All-American Golf Pro, John Daily in there Sky Box. I am also thankful for the warm welcome the Alabama and Georgia fans gave President Trump."

Hooper is a featured columnist with the Alabama Gazette.

The election is on November 5.
