State of Alabama POW

MIA Recognition Day Ceremony. The Gold Star Wives, Families and Children will be honored guests at the Annual Remembrance Ceremony on Saturday, September 21, 2024 on the south lawn of the Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery, AL.

The public is invited to attend this event. The Ceremony will begin at 10:30 with the arrival of motorcycle clubs from the VFW, the American Legion and other veterans’ organizations. The POW MIA flag will be raised on the flagpole at the Capitol. The National League of POW MIA Families’ sole purpose is to obtain the release of all prisoners, the fullest possible accounting for the missing and repatriation of all recoverable remains of those who died serving our nation during the Vietnam War.
