Lara Trump gives motivational speech to Alabama Republicans

September 13, 2024 – Montgomery – Republican National Committee (RNC) Co-Chair Lara Trump was in Montgomery to address Alabama Republicans at the Alabama Republican Party's annual summer dinner. Trump urged Alabama Republicans to vote for her father-in-law former President Donald J. Trump (R) and to work hard for her campaign.

Co-Chair Trump urged Alabamians to go to Georgia to work for Trump – where his campaign is struggling to overcome former a late charge from Vice President Kamala Harris – who replaced the aging President Joseph R. Biden (D) as the Democratic Party nominee.

Lara Trump said that this is not just a battle between Republicans and Democrats; but a "Battle between good and evil." Trump said that President Trump was fighting not just against the Democrats; but also the media and the tech companies.

Lara Trump denounced "the Russia hoax" all the various investigations, and charges against President Trump as baseless lies.

She said that she was peeling carrots in her home preparing a dinner for her family when she and her two children (age 5 and 7) saw on television President Trump get shot in Pennsylvania. The children were moved to a separate room, while she and her husband, Eric Trump, spent an hour and a half on the phone trying to find out what happened and how badly President Trump had been wounded.

Ms. Trump said that we witnessed a true "miracle" that day, when the assassin's bullet missed President Trump's head.

Lara Trump is a native of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. She said that in 2016 Donald put her in charge of winning North Carolina as it was her home state. It was also President Trump that asked her, earlier this year, to assume the role of co-chair at the RNC.

Ms. Trump said that the GOP will have hundreds of GOP attorneys in all of the swing states to be ready if any issues come up on November 5th..

Trump said that she was committed to electing President Trump to a second term, winning control of the Senate, and maintaining control of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Former State Representative Perry O. Hooper Jr. (R-Montgomery) said, "Lara Trump is a close friend and she is doing an incredible job as co-chair of the Republican National Committee."

Hooper, an Alabama Gazette columnist, was a platinum sponsor of Friday night's event.

U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty (R-Tennessee) told Alabama Republicans that the resources needed to put Donald Trump back in office are "there in your checkbooks."

Alabama Republican donors present Lara Trump with one million dollars to go towards the 2024 campaign.

Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl presented Alabama Governor Kay Ivey with an award for standing up for Alabama families.

U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama) gave the invocation at Friday night's event. Tuberville asked that God bless this countr.

Alabama Gazette columnist former State Representative Steve Flowers (R-Troyer) said that Tuesday night's debate, which most national pundits believe Harris won, "Won't make much of a difference in how people vote."

The general election is on November 5.
