The people's voice of reason
The numbers are in, and it's another record-breaking event for the State GOP. The Alabama Republican Party announced a historic fundraising success at its annual Summer Dinner, featuring special guest RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump. The event raised a record-breaking combined total of $1.3 million, with over $1 million supporting President Donald Trump's 2024 campaign and an additional $300,000 directly benefiting the Alabama Republican Party.
This strong fundraising achievement sets a new fundraising milestone, surpassing the previous record of $1.2 million raised during the 2023 Summer Dinner, when former President Donald J. Trump served as the keynote speaker. The GOP said that under the leadership of Chairman John Wahl, the party has consistently broken records, marking this as the third time since 2021 that the party has raised over a million dollars in a single event.
"We are beyond excited to set a new fundraising record this year," said Chairman John Wahl. "The incredible outpouring of support from Alabama Republicans is a testament to their dedication to President Trump and the conservative values that guide our party. The Republican Party is committed to standing for the rights and freedoms of each individual, as well as re-building our economy, securing our southern border, and protecting our children from leftist indoctrination. The people of Alabama believe in these values, and we are going to keep fighting for them."
The event was also headlined by U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, who served as finance chairman for this historic event. Lara Trump and Senator Hagerty's remarks underscored the importance of preserving America's core values and the need for continued commitment to conservative leadership in Washington. The success of this fundraiser continues the trend of raising Alabama's profile on the national stage.
Chairman Wahl added, "This isn't just a financial victory-it's a reflection of the deep-rooted support for the Republican Party here in Alabama. Our state continues to lead the way in supporting conservative principles, and we look forward to building on this momentum as we head into the critical 2024 elections."
The event comes just days before President Donald Trump is set to visit Alabama for the Alabama vs. Georgia football game this Saturday.
