A juvenile has been arrested for making terrorist threats against Moody Schools

September 24, 2024 – Moody, Alabama – the Moody Police Department (MPD) has released a statement announcing the arrest of a juvenile for making terrorist threats targeting the Moody Middle School.

The MPD received numerous reports of terroristic threats on Snapchat suggesting that gun violence would be perpetrated against Moody schools as early as today. Moody police and detectives worked throughout Monday night to identify the individual responsible for the threats and alert school officials of the impending threat.

Early on Tuesday morning a 12 year old was arrested and is charged with being the perpetrator of these threats. Due to the suspect's age authorities have said that they will not release the suspect's name.

The MPD thanked the community for their cooperation in this investigation.

Moody schools are a part of the larger St. Clair County School System.
