The people's voice of reason

Palmer was not impressed by Harris's interview

On Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris (D) was interviewed by reporters on CNN. Congressman Gary Palmer (D-Hoover) was skeptical of her performance.

"Last night's CNN interview with Vice President Harris raised even more questions in the minds of the American people about her fitness to serve as President," said Rep. Palmer. "The only true statement made during the interview was that her values have not changed. This was her way of saying to her base that, regardless of her current moderate stances, she is still the same left-wing San Francisco radical she has always been. She wants them to understand that despite what she says on the campaign trail, you will get the same Kamala Harris you have always known. If elected, Harris will keep the same policies that made gas prices higher, groceries too expensive, house prices unaffordable, allowed transgender boys to play in women's sports, and made our border unsecure. She has not changed, but the American people need a change."

Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee for President of the United States after President Joseph R. Biden (D) withdrew from the race under heavy pressure from Democratic Party elites.

Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D), were interviewed by CNN's Dana Bash in Georgia.

Harris has a propensity to change her positions as the conditions of the moment change. She defended that habit in the interview when pushed.

"My values have not changed," Harris said.

Harris emphasized her belief in the climate change theory, but stated that she supports fracking for oil and natural gas. "In 2020, I made very clear where I stand. We are in 2024, and I've not changed that position."

"I believe there should be consequences, (to illegally crossing the border)," Harris stated.

Harris said that history would judge the Biden presidency as "transformative" and that he had been "quite selfless."

"There's more to do, but that's good workm" Harris said when asked about Bidenomics.

Harris said that she would appoint a Republican to her Cabinet if elected.

"I think it's really important. I have spent my career inviting diversity of opinion," Harris said.

Palmer has endorsed former President Donald J. Trump.
