The people's voice of reason
If you’re unhappy about the Opening Ceremonies for the Paris Olympics—the fetishism, singing decapitated heads, bad drag, mocking of the Last Supper, or anything else about it—or you’d just like to send a general comment to the International Olympic Committee, you can email them at:

Or call them at:

If you’ve not heard about the opening ceremonies or seen the clips, then I highly recommend this video of Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, speaking about it:

This video is the source of the addresses above, which I’m happy to provide for you. If you’re curious as to what all the fuss is about, there are clips all over the tube sites and social media. Good luck finding the original IOC/NBC video of the ceremony, it’s already been pulled. Of course, the apology briefing is still available on multiple channels.
It remains to be seen if the IOC’s apologies will satisfy the legions of Christians and others who were offended. But, I can’t help but wonder why the organizers felt it was okay to “parody” a Christian image. Could it be they knew if they did something similar to a Muslim image that Paris would burn? That probably wouldn’t be good, considering all the tourists (and media) in the City of Lights for the Games.
As things stand now, I may have to watch the closing ceremonies just to see who else the Paris committee can offend!
