Sewell announces job fair in Bessemer on August 8

On Friday, Congresswoman Terri Sewell (D-Selma) announced that her annual job fair will be in Bessemer this year on August 8.

"Are you looking for a job or interested in exploring a new career opportunity?" wrote Rep. Sewell. "If so, I hope you'll join me for our 13th Annual Job Fair in Bessemer, Alabama on Thursday, August 8th! Our event will be located at the Bessemer Civic Center from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m."

"As your Congresswoman, I have made it my mission to bring more resources and better opportunities to the people of Alabama's 7th Congressional District," said Sewell. "I believe that every Alabamian deserves a fair shot at getting ahead, and that begins with the dignity of a good-paying job."

"This year's event will bring together employers from all across Alabama. They represent a diverse set of industries including:

Automotive

Restaurant and Food Management

Transportation and Construction

Hospitality and Retail

Health Services

Utilities and Telecommunications

Manufacturing and Production

Staffing Agencies

Government Agencies

Law Enforcement

As always, admission is free but space is limited, so I encourage you to pre-register:

On-site registration will be available the day of the event.

Our annual job fair is one of the most important events we host all year. It allows me to bring opportunities directly to my constituents wherever they are.

As always, please be sure to check in regularly with our website and social media pages (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) for updates.

I hope to see your face in the place!"

Terri Sewell represents Alabama's Seventh Congressional District.
