On Friday both App State and James Madison won games to advance to the semifinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. Troy University is hosting the tournament in Montgomery; but they were eliminated Friday by App State.
App State will play Southern Mississippi on Saturday at beautiful Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery at 9:00 a.m.
Because this is a double elimination tournament, App State will need to defeat No. 2-seeded Southern Miss twice on Saturday to advance to the championship game.
Similarly, James Madison will have to defeat Georgia Southern twice if they hope to advance to the championship game on Sunday.
App State defeated hometown favorite Troy on Friday 10 to 6.
James Madison defeated Old Dominion 15 to 5 on Friday.
Georgia Southern plays James Madison at 12:30 p.m.
If necessary, the third game will be at 4:00 p.m. CDT.
If a fourth game is necessary, it will be at 7:30 p.m. CDT.
The prestigious Sun Belt Conference baseball championship Game will be in Montgomery at 1:00 p.m. CDT. The winner will get an automatic berth in the NCAA baseball playoffs.
On Monday night, the NCAA baseball playoff selection show will unveil the fates of all the college baseball teams.
