On Friday, the University of Alabama softball team lost its NCAA super regional game to the University of Tennessee 3 to 2.
This was the first of a three game series so Alabama gets a chance to even the series to force a third game on Sunday. The Tide women play the Lady Vols on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. CDT.
Alabama falls to 36 and 18 on the season; while Tennessee improves to 44 and 10.
It was a strange game where Tennessee benefitted from Alabama's errors.
Patrick Murphy is the head coach of the Tide.
"It was a hell of a first game and I think all of us are looking forward to tomorrow and we'll see what happens," said Coach Murphy. "This team doesn't quit."
The Vols' Laura Mealer made a two-run home run that ultimately decided the game.
