Honoring our Fallen Heroes - Celebrating Memorial Day with Lee Greenwood

In a celebration of patriotism and the enduring spirit of America, we all need to spend part of our Memorial Day weekend with the iconic Lee Greenwood, as NEWSMAX premieres a one-hour music special "Lee Greenwood: God Bless The U.S.A." on Saturday, May 25 at 8 PM (ET). The special will re-air on Sunday, May 26 at 9 PM (ET) and Memorial Day, Monday, May 27 at 4 PM (ET).

This special event will feature performances by Big & Rich, Gavin DeGraw, Home Free, Scott Stapp (of Creed), Tracy Lawrence, The Oak Ridge Boys, Crystal Gayle, Larry Gatlin with Debby Boone, Ty Herndon with Janie Fricke, and culminate in a stirring finale of Lee Greenwood singing "God Bless The U.S.A." with a remarkable cast including Lee Brice, Dustin Lynch, Michael Ray, John Conlee, Deana Martin, Sam Moore, T. Graham Brown, John Berry, Neal McCoy, Billy Dean, and Rodney Atkins.

In addition to the musical performances, the special will weave in interviews that tell the story of "God Bless The U.S.A." and highlight Lee Greenwood's unwavering support for our military and veterans. During the taping, Greenwood's association with Helping A Hero, a 501(c)(3) organization, enabled the donation of two adapted homes to deserving veterans by Louis and Patti Breland of Breland Homes in Huntsville, Alabama.

"I am always honored to help support Veterans wherever I can," Greenwood shared. "I still can't believe so many of my music friends came to be part of this special taping where we were able to give two homes away to Veterans. It's even more special to have

Newsmax airing this special during the Memorial Day weekend."

Former State Representative Perry Hooper Jr., who has worked with Lee Greenwood on several Alabama events, expressed his deep appreciation for this patriotic event, stating, "As we honor those who have sacrificed everything for this great nation, let us remember the true spirit of America. Memorial Day is a time to reflect on our freedoms and the cost at which they come. My good friend Lee Greenwood's special is a tribute to those who have served and continue to serve. It's a reminder that we must always strive to "Make America Great Again."

"The principles that our nation was built upon are under constant threat, and it is our duty as patriots to uphold these values," Hooper added. "As we gather to commemorate Memorial Day, let us reflect on the profound words of Jesus Christ: "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13, ESV). This sacred day serves as a solemn reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by countless brave men and women who have laid down their lives to secure our freedoms. Their selfless acts of courage echo the teachings of our Lord, who exemplified the greatest love through His own sacrifice. As we honor their memory, let us also pray for the families they left behind and renew our commitment to uphold the values for which they fought so valiantly. May God bless their souls and may He continue to guide and protect our nation and May God Bless the USA."
