Auburn softball's head coach is Mickey Dean.
"No matter who you face in postseason, they are going to be a talented team," said head coach Mickey Dean. "We've got to show up and play clean softball. We've been there before. We know what to expect as far as the stadium and the crowd noise."
The team that comes out of the Tallahassee Regional will advance to play the winner of the Norman Regional, hosted by Oklahoma.
This is Dean's seventh season as Auburn's head coach and the sixth time that he has led Auburn to the NCAA playoffs (the playoffs were cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Before coming to Auburn, he was the head coach at James Madison and Radford. He is the second winningest coach in Auburn softball history. This will be Dean's final season as the head coach of the Tigers as he announced his pending retirement last month.
