Alabama to play Auburn in baseball this week

The University of Alabama baseball team is on the road this week to visit the Auburn Tigers. Alabama will play at Auburn Thursday, May 16, Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18. All three games will be televised on the SEC network and all three will be at 6:00 p.m.

Both teams have struggled at times this year. Alabama comes in with the better record at 32 and 19 overall and 12 and 15 in the Southeastern Conference. Auburn is 25 and 25 overall and 6 and 20 in the SEC. Auburn has won 4 of its last 5 games, including a mid-week win over Georgia Tech and the Tigers first SEC series win - versus Missouri.

Auburn's head coach is Butch Thompson. Since his hiring in 2015, Thompson has led the Tigers to two college world series appearances and six top 25 finishes.

Alabama's first year head Coach is Rob Vaughn. He previously was the head coach for the University of Maryland where he was named the Big 10 Coach of the Year in 2022 and 2023.

The series will be the last for both teams ahead of the SEC Tournament in Hoover at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium on May 21 through 25.
