The people's voice of reason
On Monday, Congressman Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) announced that he has hired Marshall Macheledt as his Legislative Director and Christian Gentile as his National Security Advisor.
"It's a blessing to add two experienced policy staffers to my team," said Moore. "My staff and I have made it a priority to keep the people we serve well-informed, and I am confident these new hires will help us take that standard to the next level."
Macheledt will now lead Moore's legislative team. He was formerly a Senior Legislative Assistant for Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and a close friend and ally of Moore. Macheledt's portfolio will include crime and law enforcement, election security, FEMA, oversight and Second Amendment issues for Rep. Moore.
Christian Gentile is an Alabama native and resident of Orange Beach. Gentile was formerly a Legislative Assistant for Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-Oklahoma). Gentile will be handling budget, science, space and technology, defense, transportation and infrastructure, and Veterans' affairs for Rep. Moore.
Moore recently defeated Congressman Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) in a tightly contested Republican primary after a federal court in September redistricted the two incumbent Congressmen into Alabama's First Congressional District to create a Second District that is more likely to elect a Black candidate to Congress.
