The people's voice of reason
Christmas Safety
Christmas time is “open season” for burglars! Please make sure you dispose of boxes discreetly. Don’t put your boxes out by the curb for garbage pickup; instead, make sure they are folded as small as possible so they fit in your garbage can. Burglars don’t necessarily see this as the homeowner having a new TV but if they bought a new TV, they can probably afford another one. Together we can help reduce the number of burglaries occurring in our communities.
Anti-Bullying Campaign
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has begun an anti-bullying campaign where
we take our “Billy, the Beaver” mascot out to mentor fourth and fifth graders at local schools in
Montgomery County.
Bullying has become a huge factor in today’s society and it is up to us to help change this serious growing problem.
Medication Disposal
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with CVS Pharmacy to supply a new drug collection unit. The new unit is located at the Administrative Office of the Sheriff, at 100 South Lawrence (2nd floor lobby). This provides
residents with a safe and environmentally responsible way to dispose of unwanted, unused or expired
medication, including controlled substances.
